For the 11th consecutive year, 50 students will receive Future Connect scholarships funded by the City of Hillsboro.
The Future Connect Program provides scholarships to low-income and/or first-generation students enrolling at Portland Community College.
In June 2023, Hillsboro City Council unanimously approved $135,000 in continued support for the 2023-24 school year.
Since 2013, Hillsboro has allocated more than $1.2 million in funding from the Community Service Fee collected from Hillsboro companies who utilize the Enterprise Zone property tax abatement incentive.
To date, the City has provided 550 Hillsboro students with a scholarship, a college success coach, and more.
