Two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author Nicholas Kristof will visit Hillsboro on Saturday, March 4, 2023, to speak at the Library Foundation of Hillsboro’s first author event since pausing for the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tickets for the event at the Embassy Suites are on sale now.
“We are fortunate to have Mr. Kristof speaking in Hillsboro,” said Deborah Clarke, President of the Library Foundation of Hillsboro. “He is a moving storyteller whose global adventures will inspire you to take on challenges and make a difference.”
Kathleen Kingsbury, New York Times Opinion Editor, calls Kristof “the quintessential trusted voice” — a title he earned as a Times columnist, foreign correspondent, and author.
Kristof’s latest book, Tightrope, Americans Reaching for Hope, co-authored with his wife Sheryl WuDunn, is the focus of his talk on Saturday, March 4. The book explores working-class America and its devastation as blue-collar jobs have disappeared. Katic Couric stated that Tightrope “shows how we can and must do better.”
