Review the ways many public agencies and cities within Washington County plan to reduce the impacts of natural disasters by participating in an online open house through March 5.
The Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan is being updated. Hazard mitigation is work that is done before disaster strikes to help lessen impacts to life, property and the environment.
Washington County Department of Emergency Management developed the plan in partnership with the cities of Beaverton, Cornelius, Forest Grove, Hillsboro, North Plains, Sherwood and Tigard in addition to Clean Water Services, Tualatin Hills Parks & Recreation District and Tualatin Valley Water District.
