Open House for Highway 47, Fern Hill Road and Maple Street Project is Jan. 31

Openhousee

Talk with the Highway 47, Fern Hill Road and Maple Street Intersection Project design team at an open house from 5-7 p.m. Jan. 31 at the Forest Grove City Auditorium, 1915 Main St.

The intersection provides access between Forest Grove neighborhoods and schools, north of the highway, and Fern Hill Wetlands and the bus barn for the Forest Grove School District, south of the highway.

The proposed improvement includes a traffic signal with technology to help reduce traffic crashes. The project is a collaboration between Washington County (Fern Hill Road), the city of Forest Grove (Maple Street) and the Oregon Department of Transportation (Highway 47).

The project has been funded for design only through the Major Streets Transportation Improvement Program (MSTIP 3e) and the city of Forest Grove. The County is continuing to pursue funding options for the  construction of the project.

For a sign or spoken language interpreter email or call 503-846-7822 (or 711 for Telecommunications Relay Service) at least 48 hours before the event.

Learn more at the open house, on the project webpage or contact Capital Project Services by email or by calling 503-846-7800.
