Tigard Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Apr. 11.
Dr. Whitney Green Bautista, Owner of Whitney Green Acupuncture, has been named the 2022 Tigard Chamber of Commerce Young Professional of the Year. This award recognizes and celebrates the accomplishments of a highly motivated, emerging professional of the Tigard community. They or their employer must be a member of the Tigard Chamber of Commerce in good standing. They demonstrate excellence, creativity, and show initiative in their company, profession and/ or community. Must be between the ages of 18 to 40 years old.
Dr. Whitney is a true example of an extraordinary young professional in the Tigard community. She has been serving her community as a gifted acupuncturist for many years. In addition to her therapeutic practice, she also gives back to her local community.
Dr. Whitney is a licensed acupuncturist and is nationally board certified by the NCCAOM as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine to practice acupuncture and Chinese herbs. She earned her master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She has also received her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2020. Dr. Whitney was named Top Docs by Portland Monthly in 2019, 2020 and 2021.
One of her clients said “Through COVID her commitment to her patients and her community and health and safety has not waivered. Her clinic sets the standard for quality care in Tigard!”
On top of running a successful business, Dr. Whitney is a Rotarian with the Tigard Noon Club. As one of the younger members of Rotary, she entered the club with enthusiasm to make a difference not only in her community, but various projects Rotary participates in around the globe. She immediately rotated into the series of officer positions eventually becoming President in the 2019/ 2020-year. She navigated the transition to leadership with all grace. As President of the club at the beginning of the pandemic, Dr. Whitney navigated going from a weekly in person meeting to an eventual weekly zoom meeting and to continue to remain engaged with the members.
She brings her passion for serving her community into her company by participating in Rotary projects and setting the expectation that all employees participate in a civic activity.
Dr. Whitney has been described as community minded, creative, and professional.
