Southern Virginia knocked off the Methodist Monarchs 10-8 in an NCAA Division III baseball contest at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, with Carson Bybee, a former Westview High School standout, contributing as a member of the Knights.

The matchup was held at Armstrong-Shelley Field and marked the teams’ second meeting of the season. Methodist won the previous game 8-6 on Friday, March 13.

Bybee pitched 4.2 innings, giving up one earned run with one walk and four strikeouts.

The Knights are set to face the Monarchs again at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at Armstrong-Shelley Field.
