The Oregon School Activities Association announced on Mar. 30 the All-State girls basketball teams for the 2025-2026 season, naming top players and coaches across all six school classifications.
The annual recognition highlights outstanding athletes and coaches from high schools throughout the state, following a process where league nominations are submitted and coaches vote to determine Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, and team selections. Coaches must participate in voting for their players to be eligible.
For Class 6A, Love Lei Best from Tualatin was named Player of the Year as a sophomore, while Tom Cole from South Medford earned Coach of the Year honors. In Class 5A, Taylor Young from Crater received Player of the Year as a senior and Shawn Stinson from West Albany was named Coach of the Year. The awards continued through each classification with Kathryn Samek (Stayton), Adie Nisly (Amity), Frankie Koehnke (Regis), and Kaylee Turner (North Clackamas Christian) recognized as Players of the Year in Classes 4A through 1A respectively.
Coaches honored include Tal Wold (Stayton) for Class 4A, Jed McMullen (Amity) for Class 3A, Tim Manning (Regis) and Jeremy Red Star Wolf (Weston-McEwen) sharing Co-Coach honors in Class 2A, and Russell Halverson (Country Christian) for Class 1A.
The selection process involves initial nominations by leagues followed by votes cast by coaches statewide. Full lists include first-, second-, third-team selections along with honorable mentions in each class. These recognitions mark achievements at both individual player and coaching levels throughout Oregon’s high school girls basketball programs.
Looking ahead, these annual All-State teams provide benchmarks for excellence within Oregon high school athletics while celebrating student-athletes’ contributions during the winter sports season.
