Linfield’s Jacob Bishop appears in Division III loss to George Fox on March 1

On Sunday, March 1, at noon, Jacob Bishop, a former Jesuit High School standout, took the field with the Linfield Wildcats as they fell 6-3 to the George Fox Bruins in NCAA Division III baseball action.

Curtis and Margaret Morse Athletic Fields hosted the matchup, marking the third meeting between the Wildcats and the Bruins this season. Linfield had defeated George Fox 10-9 in their earlier contest on Saturday, Feb. 28.

Bishop gave up four earned runs over 0.2 innings while issuing three walks.

The Wildcats are set to play again on Saturday, March 14, at noon against the Pacific Boxers at Roy Helser Field.
