Former Jesuit High School standout Calvin Martinez contributed as the Lewis & Clark Pioneers defeated the Chapman Panthers 8-4 in their NCAA Division III baseball game at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 8.

W.O. Hart Park served as the venue for the matchup. This meeting marked the teams’ fourth contest of the season. Earlier the same day, the Pioneers lost to the Panthers 6-3.

Martinez went five innings on the mound, allowing two earned runs, walking one batter, and striking out two.

The Pioneers next face the Whitworth Pirates at Paul Merkel Field on Saturday, March 14, at 11 a.m.
