Jacob Bishop helps lead Linfield to NCAA Division III baseball victory over Pacific

The Linfield Wildcats, featuring former Jesuit High School standout Jacob Bishop, posted a 6-3 win over the Pacific Boxers in an NCAA Division III baseball matchup at 12 p.m. on Sunday, March 15.

The matchup was held at Roy Helser Field. It marked the teams’ third meeting this season. The Wildcats had previously secured a 4-1 win against the Boxers in the game held on Saturday, March 14.

Bishop threw for three innings during the game, notching one walk and one strikeout.

The Wildcats are set to return to Roy Helser Field on Thursday, March 19, at 5:30 p.m. for their next contest against the Denison Big Red.
